Back-to-School Support Initiative

Banga-Bakundu/Muyuka, Cameroon

At Sawyer Camp Farmers CIG, we believe that education is the foundation for a thriving future. Every year, as the school bells ring for a new academic session, we launch our Back-to-School Support Initiative, a campaign dedicated to ensuring that students in rural communities return to school equipped with the supplies and support they need.

Addressing Educational Barriers

Many families in Banga-Bakundu and surrounding communities face significant financial challenges when it comes to providing school materials and paying tuition fees. Without proper school supplies, students often struggle to keep up with their peers, and some even risk dropping out entirely due to financial constraints.

Recognizing this, Sawyer Camp Farmers CIG steps in to support disadvantaged students, helping to bridge the educational gap and ensuring that every child has a fair chance at success.

How It Works

Each year, before the academic term begins, Sawyer Camp Farmers CIG mobilizes resources to provide students with:

  • Essential school supplies such as notebooks, pens, pencils, and backpacks.
  • Tuition assistance for families facing financial hardship.
  • School uniforms for students in need.

We work closely with local educators, parents, and community leaders to identify students most in need of support. Our goal is to relieve financial pressure on families so they can focus on their children's education.
