In recent months, Sawyer Camp Farmers Common Initiative Group (SCF-CIG) has faced an increasingly difficult operational landscape. Located in Banga Bakundu, a community in Cameroon’s South West Region, our farming activities have been significantly impacted by the ongoing security challenges affecting the area.
As a result of heightened instability, many families have been displaced from their homes. This has led to a sharp decline in the local workforce, which forms the backbone of our agricultural operations. Field work, harvesting schedules, and distribution logistics have all been delayed.
Due to the drop in available manpower, farm productivity has slowed. This has directly affected our ability to fulfill orders on schedule. Customers who have placed orders for palm oil, cocoa, coffee, or other farm products may experience delays. We deeply regret any inconvenience this may cause and ask for your understanding.
Despite these disruptions, our commitment to our mission remains unshaken. SCF-CIG has always stood for community-led development, and we are actively supporting our local members and displaced families wherever possible.
